INTRODUCTION                                                                                                                 

Recent advances in camera phone technology make the iPhone a very capable piece of equipment. With virtually everyone carrying a phone with them these days are also carrying a camera. This four session course aims to help you better understand the operation of your iPhone camera and how best to use it.     

Topics will include: 

  • Understanding your camera's phone menu
  • Achieving proper focus and exposure
  • Useful tips, tricks, and shortcuts
  • How and when to use flash
  • The benefits and limitations of a phone camera vs. a DSLR
  • How to edit your photos with the in-camera software and other editing apps
  • Composition
  • People Photography: firends, family, groups, portraits, group photos and candids
  • Travel photography
  • Nature photography
  • How to preserve your photos for the future, photo books, transfer and storage
  • Basic camera phone accessories
  • Class assignments to practice and more
